Administrative Reforms in the U.T Administration of Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli

In the process of Administrative Reforms in the U.T. Administration of Daman & Diu and U.T Administration of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has appointed two separate Administrators for two Union Territories i.e. U.T of Daman & Diu and U.T. of Dadra & Nagar Haveli. The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has appointed Shri Prafulbhai Khodabhai Patel, Ex MLA of Himmatnagar, Gujarat as Administrator of Union Territory of Daman & Diu Vide No. 14016/16/2014 UTS I dated 23rd August 2016.
Shri Vikram Dev Dutt, IAS (AGMUT 1993) has been apppointed as the Administrator of Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli Vide No. 14016/16/2014 UTS I dated 23rd August 2016. The scanned copies of both the orders are attached herewith.
This is a very historical move initiated by Ministry Of Home Affairs, Government of India, which will catalyzed the Administrative Reforms in Union Territories towards establishment of a political and Democratic setup in place. In this new democratic setup, the public grievances shall be addressed by political representative who is more accountable to the public. We hope that this new setup shall give boost to the development of both the territories and policies of Government of India shall be implemented in its true letter and spirit.
