Plastic industry in India is currently facing acute challenges with respect to possibility of hike in import duty on raw material by Govt. of India, making BIS standards mandatory for raw material and environmental related policies/compliances. Any adverse decision on these issues by Government of India would have wide scale ramifications for the entire Plastics processing Industry.
