Circular issued by Labour Department for payment of arrears/difference amount to the workers

Your association SIMA has received a Circular from Labour Department, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Silvassa vide No. LEO/MW/ARREAR/2019/1305 dated 12.09.2019. The scanned copy of the Circular is enclosed herewith for your ready reference.
As per the Notification No. LEO/MW/SA/1204/2019 dated 19/08/2019, the UT Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli has declared the Special Allowance under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 for the period from 01/04/2019 to 30/09/2019.
In this regard, the Labour Department has received complaints for non-payment of differential amount by the Industrial Establishments / Labour Contractors. Hence, the Department is directed to all the Industrial Establishments/ Labour Contractors/Principal Employer to ensure timely payment of the arrears / difference of minimum wages to its worker w.e.f. 01/04/2019 to 30/09/2019. Non-compliance will be dealt with scrupulously under the provision of the Act by the Department.
It is also directed to submit the compliance of the same to the Labour Department, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Silvassa.
Hence, all the colleague industries and their contractors are requested compliance the same.
