Your association SIMA is forwarding herewith a circular issued by the Provident Fund Commissioner, Employee's Provident Fund Organisation, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Govt of India by Circular No: WSU/IssuesofBKG/E-49885/2024-25/16, on dated 03.04.2025.

Vide the circular it is notified that for an Important Update on the Online Claim Settlement Process by EPFO, We are pleased to inform you about a crucial advancement introduced by the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) to simplify the online claim settlement process. This development aims to significantly reduce claim rejections associated with missing document uploads, such as cheque leaf images or attested bank passbooks.

Highlights of the Update:

1. No Need for Document Uploads:
Members are no longer required to upload images of cheque leaves or attested bank passbooks while filing claims online. This exemption is applicable if the bank account linked with their Universal Account Number (UAN) is validated by the relevant bank or NPCI.

2. Employer Approval Removed:
The process of obtaining employer approval for bank account seeding has been eliminated entirely, further enhancing convenience for members.

3. Automated Approval for Bank KYC Requests:
All bank KYC seeding requests that are pending employer-level approval will now be automatically approved once verified by the bank or NPCI.
These changes mark a significant step forward in ensuring faster and more efficient claim settlements for EPFO members, streamlining procedures and eliminating unnecessary hurdles.
