Circular regarding Recyclers and Refurbishers of Battery.
Dear, all,
Your association SIMA receives Circular No. PCC/DDD/2014-2015/16, dated 17.11.2023 issued by Pollution Control Committee, Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli regarding Recyclers and Refurbishers of Battery.
Vide the circular, As per the Battery Waste Management Rules, 2022 Producers, Recyclers and Refurbishers of Battery (all types of batteries regardless of chemistry, shape, volume, weight, material composition and use) shall be required to register on EPR portal of the Central Pollution Control Board and no entity mentioned above shall carry out business without registration.
CPCB has developed the online portal for registration on the website http://www.cprbatteryspsb.in/ within 7 days from the issue of this circular.
