Declaration of Special Allowance under The Minimum Wages Act,1948 issued by Labour Dept, DNH
Dear all,
Your association is in receipt of an order No. LEO/MW/SA/565/2018 dated 09.05.2018 from Labour Department, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Silvassa. The scanned copy of the order is enclosed herewith for your ready reference. The said order is in respect of enhancement of declaration of special allowance under the Minimum Wages Act,1948.
Vide the said order, Administration of Dadra and Nagar Haveli has notified that, in addition to the Basic Pay fixed by the Administration of D&NH in respect of scheduled employments under The Minimum Wages Act,1948, vide Notification No. LEO/MW/DNH/1091/2015 dated 18.08.2015, the daily rate of special allowance; payable on the basis of cost of living index number, the rate has increased by Rs.6.60/- for a period from 01/04/2018 to 30/09/2018.
Accordingly the Minimum rate of wages payable per day for the period of 01/04/2018 to 30/09/2018 is notified, which is prescribed in the attachment.
So all the colleague industries are requested to go through the attachment and pay the minimum wages at the notified rate w.e.f 01/04/2018. For any clarification please contact the Labour department UT of DNH, Silvassa.
