Delegation of Federation of Industries Association. Silvassa met Administrator Shri Madhup Vyas, IAS

As you know that Administration of our territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli has been paralyzed and the officers of Administration have adopted negative attitude and approach. Due to this negative approach in almost all the department the files are not disposed of and number of files are pending and the files are being tossed from table to table and works of the general public are delayed. So, all the associations decided to represent the pathetic attitude of the Administration towards industries to new Administrator Shri Madhup Vyas, I.A.S.
Accordingly, on 18/10/2016 the Federation of Industries Associations, Silvassa met new Administrator Shri Madhup Vyas, (I.A.S), Dadra & Nagar Haveli and briefed him about the industrial scenario prevailing in UT of Dadra & Nagar Haveli. Not only that, during discussion the industries representatives who were present in large number draw the attention of the Administrator towards the day to day problems face by industries of Dadra & Nagar Haveli. It was the general feeling of the industries that in spite of contribution a huge sum to statutory kitty, the industries are maltreated. Though the problems face by industries have been represented repeatedly to Administration but the said problems are not promptly resolved by the Administration.
The delegation draw the attention towards the following day to day problems of the industries.
- Change in name process in land records.
- VAT Refund
- Delay in day to day operation and maintenance work by DNHPDCL
- Non-availability of officers during visiting hours.
- No meeting of IPC since Sept 2015.
- No full time officer for DIC.
- Worst road conditions after rains
- Internal roads in the industrial area.
- Transfer of the industrial plot in the Govt. Industrial Estates.
In response to our submission Shri Madhup Vyasji, IAS said that with his background in the Ministry of Commerce and Industries, he considers industries as valuable partner in the development process. He further said that, he will instruct and direct the concern Department to ensure hassle free treatment to industries. He also ensured that, at regular interval such interactions with the representatives of industries shall be kept to provide conducive atmosphere for industrial growth in Dadra & Nagar Haveli. He also advised industries to take care of their social responsibility and also welfare of their labours. The industries representatives requested Hon’ble Administrator to monitor the disposal of files by the various departments in transparent and time bound manner. It was also submitted by the industries that, expectation of industries is very high from his goodness and they hope that Hon’ble Administrator shall resolve the long pending issues at the earliest. The delegation also expressed the hope that, the programme of Hon’ble Prime Minister like "Ease of Doing Business", "Make in India", "E-Technology", "Online Clearance System" shall be implemented in its true letter and spirit by the Administration under the able leadership of Hon’ble Administrator.
