Enhancement in Minimum Wages in UT of Dadra & Nagar Haveli
Dear Industrial Colleagues,
This is to inform you that, Labour Department, Dadra & Nagar Haveli have issued a Notification No. LEO/MW/DNH/1091/2015, dtd: 18/08/2015.
As per the Notification:-
"In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) (a) of Section 3 read with clause (b) of sub section (1) of Section 5 of the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 (XI of 1948), the Administrator of Dadra & Nagar Haveli after consulting Advisory Board hereby revises the minimum rates of wages in respect of employees employed in the scheduled employments in the whole of the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli with effect from 01/04/2015"
The scanned copy of the said notification is enclosed herewith for your kind reference.
The key feature of the notification is enhancement of the minimum wages with effect from 01/04/2015 and the new minimum wage i.e. basic special allowance payable to skilled, semi skilled and unskilled employees employed in the schedule employments in whole of Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli is Rs. 284.20, Rs.276.20 and Rs.268.20 respectively.
So, all the colleague industries are hereby requested to pay the minimum wages as prescribed and notified in the said notification. For more clarity of the notification please refer the explanation note at the last page of the notification.
So, all members are hereby requested to adhere the notification in its true latter and spirit.
