Enhancement in VAT in Section 4, in Subsection (1) in clause (b)

The Ministry of Law and Justice, GOI vide Gazette of India, Extraordinary, part-II-Section-I, dated 15th September, 2015 amended The Dadra and Nagar Haveli Value Added Tax Regulation, 2015 (No. 1 of 2015) which is promulgated by the President in the Sixty-sixth Year of the Republic of India.
As per the said Gazette of India dated 15th September 2015, the amendment has been promulgated as under:
"2. In the Dadra and Nagar Haveli Value Added Tax Regulation, 2015, in section 4, in sub-section (1), in clause (b), for the words "four per cent", the words "five per cent." shall be substituted."
As per the said gazette of India the said Amendment shall come in to force on such date as the Administrator may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. The scanned copy of the said Government Gazette is attached herewith.
Accordingly, the Administrator, Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Department of Value Added Tax has issued a Notification No. ADM/VAT/EMP.COMM/2012/1626, dated 13.10.2015 by which the Dadra & Nagar Haveli Value Added Tax Regulation, 2015 (No. 1 of 2015) published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part - II - Section - I, dated 15th September 2015 has been enforced with immediate effect. The scanned copy of the said Notification is also enclosed herewith.
So, all the industries colleague are hereby informed that, w.e.f. 13th October 2015 VAT in Section 4, in Subsection (1) in clause (b), the VAT applicable is enhanced from 4% to 5%. So, all the dealers/manufacturers are requested to charge the revised 5% VAT w.e.f. 13th October 2015.
