Dear Industrial Colleagues,

 Your association SIMA is forwarding ​Trade Notice No. 06/2016, dated: 30.09.2016 issued by  Commissioner of Central Excise, Customs and Service Tax, Silvassa Commissionerate, Vapi regarding Implementation of e-payment of Refund/Rebate. The scanned copy of the Trade Notice is enclosed herewith for your reference.

 Presently, after sanctioning Refund/Rebate claims, cheques are being issued manually and the same are sent either by registered post or handed over to the authorized person of the claimant. The present procedure entails paper work, manpower deployment by the claimants and delay in payment of Refund/Rebate.

 
To avoid paper work, manpower deployment by the claimants and delay in payment of Refund/Rebate, the said Trade Notice is issued by Commissioner, Central Excise, Customs and Service Tax Silvassa. In order to speed up the transfer of the fund directly to the beneficiary’s Bank account after sanction of the Refund/Rebate claim, Bank of Baroda, Vapi Industrial Estate Branch, C/M-14, GIDC, P.B. No. 13, Near Char Rasta, vapi – 396195, the associated bank with Central Excise, Customs & Service Tax, Silvassa Commissionerate, has been authorized for e-payment of Refund/Rebate The payment under the system of electronic payment of Refund/Rebate amount through RTGS/NEFT facility shall be made by the field formations through the Authorized Bank. The Bank may charge the refund claimant fee for remitting refund amount through RTGS/NEFT as per RBI guidelines and the claimant would get only the net amount after deducting the Bank fee.
