Installation of Capacitors by all LT Consumers is necessary.
Dear all LT Consumers,
Silvassa Industries & Manufacturers Association (SIMA) is pleased to inform you that, with the efforts of all the constituents association of Federation of Industries Association (FIA), Hon'ble JERC has approved New Tariff for the year 2021-22. Wherein, the Power Tariff of various consumers has been reduced.
As per the New Tariff, the energy charges for HT consumers has been revised and reduced by 30 Paise/ kVAh. Incase of LT consumers it is reduced by 70 Paise/ kVAh. Now energy charges will be calculated based on kVAh units from the Financial year 2021-22. Silvassa Industries & Manufacturers Association (SIMA) welcomes the decision of Hon'ble JERC and SIMA is sure that this big relief will help the Micro and Small sector in their survival.
But, as energy charges shall be calculated and recovered on kVAh units, it is essential to maintain the power factor between 0.90 to unity. Therefore, it is very essential to maintain the power factor and for that, the installation of Capacitors are required to maintain the power factor.
So, we are sure that all the LT consumers shall install the Capacitor for their benefit.
DNHPDCL has also issued a Circular No. 17-1(1)/DNHPDCL/2020/429 dated 31.03.2021, in this regard.
