Dear all,

We are enclosing herewith the trade notice no. 04/2014-15 dated 24th March, 2015 issued by Commissioner, Central Excise, Customs & Service Tax, Silvassa. As per the said trade notice, earlier the department has issued a notification no. 9/2014 of service tax and 19/2014 of Central Excise both dated 11/07/2014 by which w.e.f 01.10.2014 all the assesses shall pay service tax and excise duty electronically through internet banking. It is observed that still number assessee  are paying the Service Tax and Central Excise in physical form and are submitting the challans to the Departments.

So all the assessee  are hereby informed that from 1st October, 2014 they are bound to pay Service Tax and Central Excise through internet banking only. In case of any issue in internet banking, an exception has also been made were by the Deputy/Assistant Commissioner may, for reason to be recorded in writing, allows an assessee  to deposit the Service Tax and Central Excise Duty by a mode other than internet banking.
