Make in India Week to be celebrated from 13th Feb 2016 to 18th Feb 2016 in Mumbai

Your association SIMA is in receipt of a letter from General Manager, District Industries Centre, Dadra & Nagar Haveli. The scanned copy of the letter is attached herewith.
Vide the said letter, it is informed that, Hon'ble Secretary Industries DD & DNH has received a D.O.No. 14/17/2015(IC) dated 21st December 2015 from Ms. Kalpana Awasthi, I.A.S, Hon'ble Joint Secretary, Ministry of Commerce & Industries, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, New Delhi. The scanned copy of the same is also enclosed herewith for your reference.
"Make In India week" shall be celebrated from 13th Feb to 18th Feb 2016 in Mumbai at India Centre, MMRDA Ground, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Mumbai - 400051. The inaugural function of the week is scheduled to be held on 13th Feb 2016 and the event of "Make in India week" shall be inaugurated by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
The theme of the week-long event is "innovation, design and sustainability". Several programs have been planned around this theme. Some of this programmes are:-
a. Make in Indian Centre exhibit area to showcase the innovative products and manufacturing processes developed in India.
b. Asia Business Forum would comprise a series of seminars, CXO Meets, roundtables and networking events on economic challenges, investment opportunities, design and innovation and
c. Hackathon event where coders, engineers and designers would collaborate intensively to come up with ideas to solve urban design problems.

The Administration and large industries functioning in our territory are requested to participate in the Make in India week to highlight the opportunities in DNH and book a space in the exhibit area to showcase the various products manufacture by large companies in our UT of DNH.
