Meeting of Minimum Wages Advisory Board

On 24th June 2015, the meeting of Minimum Wages Board of UT Administration of DNH was held and the meeting was chaired by Smt. Priyanka Kumari RDC SIlvassa cum Joint Comissoner Labour. The agenda of the meeting was to revise the Minimum Wages payable in DNHin line of Daman and/or Gujarat.
From our Association SIMA, Shri R.N. Pandey, our Executive Secretary attended the meeting and he has furnished the brief note on the discussion taken place in the meeting. With his expertise in Labour Consultancy Shri R.N. Pandey suggested not to consider the Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Daman and/or Gujarat because recently during 2014 Labour Bureau, Shimla has declared Silvassa also as one point for CPI and therefore the minimum wages applicable to UT of DNH to be based on CPI of Silvassa and not on the base of CPI of Daman and or Gujarat.
You are requested to go through the submission by Shri R.N. Pandey before the Board. The copy of the submission is attached herewith.
You fellow colleague industries also requested to give your valuable suggestions in the matter, so that the same can be compiled and represented before the Board.
