Dear all,

Your association SIMA has received a message from Federation of Industries Associations, Silvassa, dated 28.05.2021.

It is informed that, a meeting was held between the representative of industries associations and Resident Deputy Collector in which the following two issues were discussed.

1. Vaccination to local tribal population.

2. Vaccination of employees and family members of Industrial employees.

During the discussion, Resident Deputy Collector Sir appealed to all the industries to motivate their employees / workers who are tribal and belong to DNH to get vaccinated. Industries’ support will be vital in removing the unfounded fear against vaccination from the mind of such employees/ workers. To create awareness for vaccination and to attract the tribal employees / workers, RDC Sir stated the following:

1. Industrial Employees who have already been vaccinated may wear badges containing the phrase “I am vaccinated” at the workplace. It will motivate others to get vaccinated soon. These badges will be prepared by the Administration and will be distributed to industries from 31st May 21. Administration will share information on the procedure to collect the card.

2. There is no need for local tribal people to get pre-vaccination registration. They can walk in any of the vaccination centres and can get vaccinated.

3. A token gift will be given to each local tribal person on getting vaccinated. It will be a saree / or a towel.

4. If the local tribal youth come as a team like cricket / football / volleyball  teams and get vaccinated together, they will be given sports material like cricket bats / ball / volleyball /football etc.

5. Industries can arrange motivational sessions for such employees. Administration will depute a team of doctors as resource persons. Such sessions must be with observance of covid-appropriate behavior.

Vaccination of employees and family members:

1. Policy to restrict vaccination to the residents of the DNH will continue for time being.

2. Employees and their family members can get vaccinated at any vaccination centre with prior registration. If their Aadhar cards are from other states, they may produce one of following documents to establish that they are residing in DNH:

a. Voter card
b. Driving licence
c. Rent agreement
d. Gas Connection evidence
e. Bank account with any local bank

SIMA also appeals to all the colleague industries to make awareness amongst the employees / workers and motivate them to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
