Payment of Electricity Bill for the Month of January 2017 under protest
Dear all,
It has brought to the notice of your association SIMA that, DNHPDCL has raised the electric bill for the Month of January 2017, wherein again they have recovered the FPPCA charges to the tune of Rs. 1.25. As we all know that, Silvassa Industries & Manufacturers Association is part of Federation of Industries Associations, Silvassa and we have filed a petition before Hon’ble JERC wherein we have protested against the recovery of illegal and unjustified recovery of FPPCA charges from Non-open Access Consumers and further we have prayed to grant stay against recovery of FPPCA charges. As the matter is pending before Hon’ble JERC and the proceeding of the said Petition is awaited, at this juncture it is advisable to pay the electricity bill of January 2017 under protest to avoid disconnection and any legal complications. The draft copy of letter of protest is attached herewith for your ready reference.
In mean time we are pleased to inform you that, considering the pain of MSMEs sector, the representatives of Open Access Consumers and Non-open Access Consumers are in the process of working out a formula under which the Non-open Access Consumers are not burdened with undue and unjustified FPPCA charges. Silvassa Industries & Manufacturers Association hope that, the representatives of Open Access Consumers and Non-open Access Consumers shall workout a formula at the earliest to ensure that Non-open access consumers which are mainly MSMEs are released from the burden of FPPCA and the burden of fix charges are passed on Open Access consumers.
All the concerns are trying their level best to workout amicable solution in the interest of MSMEs Sector.
