Payment of wages and salaries to the workers and employees should be paid through bank account

Your association is in receipt of a circular from Hon'ble Labour Commissioner, DNH, Silvassa, vide Circular No. LEO/POW/2016/288, dtd: 22/03/2016. The scanned copy of the circular is attached herewith.
Vide the said circular it is being informed that, Hon'ble Labour Commissioner has received some complaints from the employees working in various industries and other organisations that, the employees are forcing their workers / employees to sing on blank papers and brochures and the workers/ employees are not getting the proper wages/salary.
It is therefore directed by Hon'ble Labour Commissioner that, employers should insist their employees/workers to open the bank accounts under the PM Jan Dhan Yogana and wages/salaries to all the employed persons should be paid by cheque or by crediting the wages/salary directly in the back account of the respective workers/employees. This will not only promote transparency but also help in reducing the grievances of the employees relating to non-payment of wages/salaries.
Accordingly all the industries and establishments including contractors are directed to ensure that, the payment of wages are made by way of cheque/by crediting the wages/salaries in the back account of respective workers/employees. This will create a congenial industrial environment in the region.
So, all the colleague industrialist are hereby requested to follow the instruction scrupulously.
