Dear all,
Your association SIMA is forwarding herewith a Press Note No. No. RD / Every Religion / COVID-19 /1245, dated 20.03.2020 issued by the Department of Revenue, UT Administration of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Silvassa.
As per the Press Note, Hon'ble Collector of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Shri Sandeep Kumar Singh, I.A.S called a meeting of representatives of all religions on 20/03/2020 in his chamber; in which a large number of representatives of various religions were present.
Hon’ble Collector awakened them regarding coronavirus and requested them to avoid the crowding during the various forthcoming festivals such as Jumma Namaz, Ramnavami, Gudi Padwa, Good Friday & Mahavir Jayanti at the temple, mosque, church and to celebrate such festivals at home only.
In response to which all the representatives of all religions assure to Hon'ble Collector to cooperate with the administration in the larger interest of the people and society of the territory.
