Revenue Secretary to Govt of India and his key priorities
Dear Industries Colleagues,
This is to inform you that, Mr. Hasmukh Adhia, a 1981 batch IAS officer has taken over charge as Revenue Secretary to Government of India on 1st September 2015. We have given the link as under, wherein an article has been published about the view expressed by our Hon'ble Revenue Secretary is mentioned. Further while speaking to the reporters the new Revenue Secretary said, he will focus on increasing transparency through use of technology to make it easier for tax payer and get rid of corrupt officers.
In declaring the key priorities immediately after assumption of charge he said that, the Government of India is committed to industries and for that thrust shall be given.
- Simplification of rules and procedures.
- Cleaning up the Tax Department
- Ensuring preparedness of both the centre and the states for implementation of the Goods and Service Tax.
We appreciate the views of Hon'ble Revenue Secretary Shri Hasmukh Adhia, IAS for taking such initiative as the priorities of Hon'ble Revenue Secretary are in the interest of industry and now it is our duty to take lead in responding to him by genuinely intimating problems of taxation-maters faced by our industry.

So your association SIMA hereby request all the colleague industries to forward their valuable constructive suggestion to Hon'ble Revenue Secretary which will bring more transparency and simplification in Tax Department. We appreciate the move of Government of India that, our suggestion have been invited and with this consultative process and with our valuable suggestions we can also contribute our share in national building, by which we can make corruption free India.
