Dear all,

As we all are aware that, Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli increased the FSI in industrial zone, but ground coverage was not enhanced and hence industries were bound to go for vertical expansion by putting an additional floor. As vertical expansion of any industries cause hardship because the industries have to move materials vertical above and for that elevators are to be provided for vertical movement. This restrict material movement. Even the heavy machineries cannot be installed on upper floors for safety reason.

Considering the hardship of the industries this issue was taken up with the Administration and it was requested to allow more ground coverage so that FSI can be consumed in expansion at ground floor.

After tremendous follow up of the association, Urban Development Department, UT Administration of DNH has issued a Notification No. DNHPDA/DCR/AMD/FSI/2014/1175 dated 12/08/2016. Vide the said notification, Hon'ble Administrator of Dadra and Nagar Haveli has amended the Development Control Rules - 2014, Clause  27,  Table 11. Accordingly the Administration has revised the norms of setback, ground coverage, FSI and permissible building height.

The soft copy of the said notification is enclosed herewith for your ready reference.

Thanking you,
With regards,

For Silvassa Industries & Manufacturers Association
