Single-use plastic items to be banned in the country from 1st july

Your association SIMA is forwarding herewith a News article dated 18/06/2022, uploaded on the website of Livemint, regarding the Single-use plastic items to be banned in the country from 01/07/2022.
As per the News Article, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), a government body under the Ministry of Environment, 18 June issued a list of measures to ban identified Single Use Plastic items by 30th June 2022. A ban will be imposed on single-use plastic items having low utility and high littering potential, will be imposed from 01/07/2022. The ban includes the manufacture, import, stocking, distribution, sale and use of single-use plastic items.
The items included in the banned list are:
a) Plastic Sticks: earbuds with plastic sticks, plastic sticks for balloons, plastic flags, candy sticks, ice-cream sticks, polystyrene (Thermocol) for decoration.
