Special Allowance under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 is revised in DNH
Dear all,
We are in receipt of a Notification No. LEO/MWA/SA/533/2017, dtd: 25.05.2017 from Deputy Secretary (Labour), Dadra & Nagar Haveli. The scanned copy of the said notification is enclosed herewith for your ready reference.
Vide the said Notification; in addition to the Basic Pay fixed by the Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli in respect of schedule employments under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 vide Notification No. LEO/MW/DNH/1091/2015, dtd: 18.08.2015, the daily rate of special allowance payable on the basis of cost of living index number is increased at the rate of Rs. 8.80/- for a period from 01/04/2017 to 30/09/2017.
Considering this, the daily rate of special allowance payable shall be Rs. 19.50/- as mentioned in the notification.
So, all the colleague industries are hereby requested to pay the revised special allowance of Rs. 19.50/- with effect from 01/04/2017.
