Dear all,
Your association is in receipt of Letter no. DIC/5(344)/2015/1085, Dated 03.12.2015 from General Manager, District Industries Centre, D&NH, Silvassa.

A letter has been issued by Ministry of Textile, Govt. of India to all the Chief Secretary to circulate among the industries regarding "Start-ups" and Entrepreneurial Ventures in Textiles Sector.

For enabling start-ups and entrepreneurial ventures in the Textile Sector, apart from the Textile Sector Scheme, support could be availed from the existing schemes under MSME such as PMEGP or the ASPIRE (for setting up technology and livelihood business incubators), which can be accessed at msme.gov.in/mob/scheme-New.mpx. In addition, MUDRA Bank’s offerings include loans under three categories – (i) Sishu-for loans upto Rs. 50,000/-; (ii) Kishor – for loans upto Rs. 5 lakhs; and (iii) Tarun – for loans upto Rs. 10 lakhs.

Keeping in view the need for specific requirements in the textile sector, Ministry of Textile has identified the following Schemes under Start-ups in the Textile Sector.

  1. Focus Incubation Center (FIC) for Start-Ups in Technical Textiles.
  2. Venture Fund in Textile Sector
  3. Handloom Sector.
  4. Handicrafts Sector.
  5. Powerloom Sector
