Dear all,

Your association is in receipt of an email from Federation of Industries Associations, Silvassa. The copy of the same is enclosed herewith for ready reference.

As you all are informed  earlier, UT Administration organized an Open House on Skill Development on 07.06.2018 at Town Hall under the Chairmanship of Shri S.S. Yadavji, Advisor to Honl. Administrator, DD & DNH. The representatives of industries association also participated in the Open House on Skill Development.

Ms. Pooja Jain, IAS, Secretary Education who was the key speaker of the event highlighted the initiatives taken by the UT Administration in the development of the skills of local youth. As informed Administration plans to target 4000 youths every year to provide better skills and employability.

Administration of  Dadra & Nagar Haveli has started a Training Centre under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikash Yojana at Silvassa in which training  in various field like Housekeeping Attendant, Draftsman Mechanical, Data Entry Operator, etc are started in the Centre. PMKVY is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). The objective of this Skill Certification Courses is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood. Individuals with prior learning experience or skills will also be assessed and certified under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

Federation has been assigned to develop a pool of resources persons who are cable and have in carination to help the youth become employable these resources would be imparting employable skills like Communication, Leadership, Analytical Ability, Drafting, Taxation Law, Employment Law, Tally, ERP, etc..  

In this regard, all the colleague members are requested to nominate their names who will deliver/share their knowledge on the above topics to the dropout and unemployed youth by organizing short term training programmes.

It is also requested to send their requirement of trained manpower for industries on major sectors like plastic, textile, marble, etc. So, it is hereby requested to colleagues to suggest other courses to enable Administration to introduce various courses for the youth to make them employable.

All the colleague industries are once again requested to participate actively to develop pool of resource person for training programmes. The name of employee/resource person, topic details may be sent to the Federation in its mail ID federation.silvassa@gmail.com.
