Violation of fire prevention and Fire Safety measures
Dear all,
Your association had sent an email dated 29/05/2024 regarding violation of fire prevention and Fire Safety measures vide Notice No. 45/08/FIRE-AUDIT/14-15/DFES/145, dated 31/03/2023 issued by the Department of Fire and Emergency Services, Daman.
You are aware that, recently a meeting was held in the chamber of Hon’ble Collector, DNH regarding various issues like opening of Rakholi Bridge, Samarvani to Masat road conditions, provision of drinking water for industries, use of ground surface water by industries, etc. (To view the minutes of the Meeting, PLEASE CLICK HERE.)
During the meeting, Hon’ble Collector emphasized fire safety measures and fire safety audits. The department may visit the industries to check the Fire NOC, compliance of fires safety measure, fires safety audit, etc. Any violation on this behalf shall be dealt with under the relevant provisions of law.
As per the Notice, it was directed to apply for the Fire NOC and renewal of Fire NOC, comply with fire safety measures within 01 month from the date of issue of the notice. Further it was directed the various inventory materials, storage and temporary structure erected in marginal open spaces to be removed immediately as per approved plan of fire brigade access at all time. Failing to the adherence of the above notice, necessary action will be taken against the defaulters in accordance of relevant Act & Rules.
SIMA also appeals all the colleague industries to adhere the above fire safety measure notice strictly to avoid unto accidents, pentalities and closure of the industries as per act and rules.
