Workshop on proposed GST Bill and to assess the impact of proposed GST on industries of DNH
Dear All,
We industries, still have no idea about the impact of proposed GST Bill, on industrial sector of our UT of Dadra & Nagar Haveli. We have only apprehension that on introduction of GST, the existing and new industries of this territory shall have very serious setback and the industrial development of this territory shall be adversely effected.
On the issue, SIMA along with other two colleagues Associations have submitted a representation to Honl. Administrator, DD & DNH. The soft copy of said representation is attached herewith for your kind information.
Vide said representation, to have clarity on the subject of proposed GST, it is requested to the Administration that to organize a workshop/interaction session on the Issue of proposed GST, where in experts of the field and Department of VAT of DNH, shall give presentation of the proposed Bill to the industrialist of DNH. In the said session, the Industries shall also actively participate in the discussion. The team of experts shall also redress and satisfy the queries raised by the industries.
On the deliberate discussion and consultative process on the proposed GST, the Administration and Industries; to protect the interest of industries and people of this Territory, shall suggest remedial measures to Government of India for necessary changes and modifications in the proposed GST bill.
In meantime, we request all the colleague industries to study the proposed bill in detail and share your inputs and suggestions with other industries, through the platform of our Associations.
