Dear all,

Your association is pleased to inform you that, Hon’ble Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) has passed an interim order on Petition No. 230/2017 filed by the Federation of Industries Associations, Silvassa against DNH Power Distribution Corporation Ltd.

Federation of Industries Associations, Silvassa comprise of Silvassa Industries & Manufacturers Association, DNH Industries Association and Silvassa Industries Association had jointly filed a Petition before Hon’ble Joint Electricity Regulatory Commission (JERC) wherein Federation protested the illegal and unjustified recovery of FPPCA charges from Non-open Access Consumer i.e. Rs. 1.30 paisa per unit.

In this matter, Hon’ble JERC admitted the petition on 22nd February 2017 and Hon’ble Commission   convinced by our representation that, illegal and heavy burden has been imposed on the Non-open Access consumers in form of heavy FPPCA charge, specially on the small industries, forcing them to even close their operations and hence hampering the growth of MSMEs sector in the UT of Dadra Nagar Haveli. Accordingly, as interim measure, Hon’ble Commission directed DNH Power Distribution Corporation Ltd to restrict the recovery of the FPPCA charges to 67 paise per unit immediately from February 2017 onwards till further order of the Commission

The scanned copy of the interim order passed by Hon’ble JERC is attached herewith. Please go through the attachment for the detailed order.

Your association SIMA conveys its hearties thanks to all the colleague industries for their support and active participation and also by showing our solidarity and unity.

Still, there is a long way to go in this matter and there are also  many other issues which are being faced by Industries and particularity by MSMEs and for that we have to continue our unity and have to effectively addressed  the pending issues immediately before the appropriate forums.

Thanking you,
With regards,

For Silvassa Industries & Manufacturers Association

Narendra Trivedi,
Secretary
