Issuance of ID Cards to the workers working in various industrial establishments or their contractor
Dear all,
Your association SIMA is forwarding herewith an order No. ADM/LAW/84/2008/3131 Dated on 30/11/2018 issued by District Magistrate, Dadra and Nagar Haveli regarding the issuance of ID Card to the workers working in various industrial establishments or their contractor of this territory. The order has been issued Section 144 of Cr.PC. In this regards, Federation of Industries Associations, Silvassa has also forwarded a letter to your association SIMA. The copy of the same is also enclosed herewith.
It is frequently noticed by the Administration and your association that, some of the industrial establishments and their contractors are not issuing proper identity cards to their workers. Therefore it becomes difficult to identify them at the time any untoward incident.
In this regards, Shri Kannan Gopitnathan, IAS, Hon'ble District Magistrate/Collector, DNH has issued an order under Section 144 of Code of Criminal, 1973 (No. 2 of 1974) do hereby order all the contractor/industrial owner should keep details of identity proof and also issue ID Cards to their employees and inform concerned Police Stations accordingly.
As per the order, any person contravening this order shall be punishable under section 188 of Indian Penal Code
