It is obligatory to engage min. 2.5-15% apprentices for Establishments as per the Apprenticeship Act
Dear all,
This is to inform you that it is obligatory to engage minimum 2.5% - 15 % apprentices for establishments having 30 or more workers/ staff (including Contractual) which is mentioned in the page 06 of the attached Gazette of India.
Benefits to Apprenticeship as under :
1. No EPF or ESI paid to apprentices.
2. Reimbursement of 7500/- after basic training completion.
3. Reimbursement of 1500/- per month per trainee during On the Job Training.
4. Expenditure on Stipend paid to apprentices can be booked under CSR on more than 2.5 % of apprentices.
5. Apprentices cannot participate in Union activities .
6. While learning apprentices also contributes to the production activities of a company.
7. Fulfilling social responsibility by creating skilled man force in the society and increasing certified Manforce.
8. Companies can design course and it's duration under optional trade category according to their need or operational activities.
So, all colleague industries are requested in the first stage to Register their Companies as establishment for On the Job Training (OJT) and as Basic Training Provider (BTP) for engaging fresh apprentices in UT of DNH.
