Meeting held with GM, DIC and representatives of Industries Associations regarding Tree Plantation

Your association is forwarding herewith the newspaper article published in local news paper Asli Azadi on dated 17/07/2019.
As per the news article published in Asli Azadi, Shri Karanjit Vadodaria, General Manager, District Industries Centre had a meeting with the representatives of Industries Associations on 16/07/2019 regarding Mass Tree Plantation Programme in industrial area. President, office bearers and key members of SIMA remain present in the meeting.
Industrial activities release toxic chemicals & particles into the air. Its concentrations are increasing & becoming bad to worse in industrial estate areas with large number of manufacturing industries. Emissions from vehicles also contribute to poor air quality. High concentrations of harmful gases and particles in our atmosphere negatively affects the health of humans, animals and plants. It also cause temperatures to rise, thereby causing climate change. Trees are the answer for air pollution & climate change besides other pollution abatement & mitigation measures. The cheapest way to arrest emissions & environmental damage is to plant more trees & create green belt/cover around the industries
So, all the members of our association are hereby requested to actively participate in this mass tree plantation programme and save our country and global from adverse effect of pollution causing climate change.
